2. Communication

3. Curiosity

In a landscape where AI can answer most known questions efficiently, the ability to ask better questions — and to challenge AI-generated outputs — becomes a core professional competency.
4. Critical Thinking
The capacity to evaluate AI outputs, identify flawed reasoning, detect hallucinations, and apply domain expertise to validate or override algorithmic recommendations. As organisations deploy AI at scale, the cost of uncritical acceptance of AI output rises proportionally.
5. Interpersonal Intelligence
Mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, people management, and the ability to build trust across teams. Redesign competency frameworks. Traditional job architectures built around task completion are obsolete. Competency models need to foreground judgment, communication, and critical thinking alongside technical and AI skills.
