This is a production engineering role, not a research project: you'll build systems used daily by clinicians and researchers. You will have solid Generative AI experience and you must have worked in a startup environment. Key Responsibilities Develop RAG and agentic AI systems over structured and unstructured clinical data (EHR, FHIR, PDFs, clinical notes, trial criteria). Design eligibility reasoning, patient-matching, and recruitment automation workflows. Build large-scale data ingestion and processing pipelines. Implement embedding, indexing, retrieval, and reranking pipelines (e.g., Milvus/Zilliz, Elasticsearch). Create evaluation frameworks for accuracy, retrieval quality, and hallucination rates. Work on prompt design, tool usage, and orchestration logic at production scale. Your Profile Strong hands-on experience building and shipping production AI applications (LLMs, RAG, agents). Proficient in software engineering skills in Python, Node.js, or similar. Experienced with large-scale data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or workflow orchestration. Familiar with vector databases, embeddings, and search/ranking systems. Understanding of structured outputs, tool calling, and multi-step AI workflows. Experience in a startup or high-ownership environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership from architecture through deployment.
