This position is not with OVI.The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance tasks on both safety and non-safety related Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) to ensure optimal plant performance, high equipment reliability, and safe operation. This includes preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting, investigations, repairs, and executing surveillance tests. The technician will support the plantβs operational readiness and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance to ensure the timely execution of tasks with a focus on quality, safety, and operational readiness. Carry out planned and corrective maintenance and surveillance activities on plant electrical systems and components. Conduct electrical inspections and testing on transformers, including Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) and On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC). Perform mechanical protection device inspections and tests. Utilize testing equipment including Omicron Sibano 500, CT Analyzer, CPC 100, CP TD, and Testrano 600. Inspect and maintain switchgear compartments and perform Circuit Breaker (CB) testing. Conduct motor inspections and perform preventive maintenance. Perform generator inspections, maintenance, and carbon brush replacements. Maintain and inspect DC systems, including inverters and UPS systems. Test protection relays using primary and secondary injection tests. Inspect and maintain Instrument and Power Bus (IPB) systems. Inspect and test Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) for operational performance. Ensure the proper preparation and staging of maintenance activities. Document equipment history and maintenance activities. Provide feedback on training programs to ensure adherence to maintenance standards. Support outages or Emergency Response Organizations (ERO) as assigned. Contribute to the development of work instructions and the continuous improvement of maintenance practices. Your Profile High School Diploma. A minimum of 2 years in electrical maintenance, with a focus on power plant or industrial systems. Previous experience in nuclear power plant maintenance or similar high-risk environments preferred. Proficient in performing inspections, maintenance, and testing on electrical systems. Experience with testing instruments such as Omicron Sibano 500, CT Analyzer, CPC 100, and Testrano 600. Familiarity with primary and secondary injection tests, IR tests, and mechanical protection device inspections.
