About the Role
On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced ADAS Architect to lead the design and development of advanced driver assistance systems for next-generation vehicles. The role is responsible for defining robust and scalable ADAS system architectures, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and driving innovation across safety, perception, and automated driving functionalities.
The ADAS Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and OEM stakeholders to deliver production-ready, future-proof solutions across multiple vehicle programs.
Key Responsibilities
Define end-to-end ADAS / Automated Driving system architecture across sensors, perception, fusion, decision, and control domains.Translate functional, technical, and performance requirements into system, software, and interface architectures.Evaluate, select, and integrate sensor technologies including camera, radar, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, GPS, and IMU.Drive the development and integration of real-time embedded software, middleware, and communication interfaces.Ensure compliance with automotive standards and processes including ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, AUTOSAR, and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity).Collaborate with AI/ML engineers on perception, object detection, and sensor fusion algorithms.Work closely with hardware, software, integration, and test teams to ensure seamless system-level integration.Perform system-level trade-off analyses considering safety, cost, performance, power, and scalability.Define, review, and support validation strategies including MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level testing.Act as a technical authority and mentor for ADAS engineers.Support multiple production programs from requirements definition through implementation, validation, and SOP.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong experience across both system and software engineering (mandatory).10+ years of experience in automotive software development, including 5+ years in ADAS or Autonomous Driving.Experience working on production programs across the full development lifecycle (requirements to validation).Strong knowledge of automotive sensor technologies (camera, radar, LiDAR, ultrasonic).Hands-on experience with ADAS functions such as AEB, ACC, LDW, lane centering, automated parking, and highway driving features.Proven experience with functional safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, and automotive cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434).Hands-on experience with model-based design and implementation using MATLAB/Simulink and C++.Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded automotive platforms.Strong systems engineering and requirements management background (DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent tools).
Preferred ExperienceExperience with sensor fusion frameworks and deep learning–based perception algorithms.Familiarity with simulation and validation platforms such as IPG CarMaker, PreScan, VTD, or similar.Exposure to service-oriented architectures (SOA) and cloud integration for connected ADAS features.Experience working across cross-functional and multi-site engineering teams.Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
