You will design it, build the team, and run it into serial production. What you set up now determines whether the line stops or runs for the next decade.Your first 18 monthsDesign and commission the plant's logistics setup: warehouse layout, material flow, storage and staging concepts, packaging standards.Build the inbound supply chain from group and external suppliers, including flows from our Chinese sites, and the outbound concept to our OEM customers.Bring EDI communication and SAP logistics processes live in time for start of production.Select and contract logistics service providers, forwarders, and 3PL partners.Recruit and build the local logistics team.Your ongoing responsibilitiesOwn inbound and outbound logistics — supplier call-offs, transport, customer delivery performance to OEM call-off schedules.Manage inventory: coverage, turns, and capital employed, without ever risking line stoppage.Steer logistics service providers and forwarders against defined SLAs and cost targets.Track and improve logistics KPIs: OTD, inventory accuracy, premium freight, cost per unit shipped.Lead and develop the logistics team across shift operation.Represent logistics in customer audits, OEM assessments, and IATF 16949 reviews.Own the logistics budget and the annual cost-down commitments.Your profileDegree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.7+ years in automotive logistics management (Tier 1 or Tier 2), including full responsibility for a plant's logistics function.Demonstrated experience in a greenfield setup or plant ramp-up — this is a decisive criterion, not a nice-to-have.Strong command of SAP (MM/SD/WM) and OEM EDI communication (VDA / EDIFACT).Solid understanding of OEM logistics requirements: call-off handling, returnable container management, packaging standards, delivery performance measurement.Fluent Hungarian and English — you lead locally and report internationally.
