As Material Planner you join during ramp-up: you will set up the planning parameters, supplier call-off routines, and inventory logic that the plant will run on for years.Your responsibilitiesDemand and production planningTranslate customer call-offs, production schedules, and forecasts into a reliable material requirement plan.Maintain planning master data — BOM accuracy, lead times, safety stocks, lot sizes — as the foundation of every MRP run.Align material availability with the production plan in daily coordination with production and warehouse.Material scheduling and supplier follow-upRelease purchase requisitions and delivery schedules from MRP results and track them to receipt.Drive on-time delivery with suppliers and the purchasing team; escalate early rather than late.Resolve shortages before they reach the line — expediting, resequencing, alternative sourcing in coordination with purchasing.Monitor supplier delivery performance and feed it back into supplier evaluation.Inventory controlKeep inventory at target level: no line stoppage, no excess capital tied up.Enforce FIFO, control slow-moving and obsolete stock, and propose write-off or disposal plans.Run cycle counts, investigate system-to-physical deviations, and eliminate their root causes.Import and export handlingManage daily import and export declarations with customs brokers and forwarders — submission, document review, follow-up.Prepare and verify customs documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, packing declaration.Coordinate forwarders, warehouses, and ports to secure timely release of goods, including inbound flows from our Chinese sites.System and reportingMaintain accurate order, inventory, and lead time data in SAP.Deliver daily and weekly material status, shortage, and coverage reports to plant management.Improve planning routines continuously — fewer manual interventions, higher forecast accuracy.Your profileDegree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or comparable qualification.3+ years as Material Planner, Production Planner, or in a comparable supply chain role in manufacturing — automotive preferred.Confident in SAP MM/PP; strong Excel.Practical customs experience with EU import and export procedures; knowledge of preferential origin and customs procedures is a clear advantage.Fluent Hungarian and solid English.
